The Ficus genus comprises a huge number of species including vines, bushes and trees. All come in a variety of sizes. Most Ficus plants are evergreen and can be found primarily in tropical and subtropical areas around the world. A well-draining mix rich in nutrients will secure a healthy development of the plant.

Roots of Ficus plants will enjoy this light potting mix. Components like lava and pumice have different grain sizes so that excess water can pass through easily preventing root rot. This Ficus soil mix will remain loose and won’t compact overtime.

Regardless of the size of your Ficus, coarse ingredients like bark ensures the stability your plant needs to grow tall. In addition, these components together with a coco coir base ensure moderate water retention as Ficus plants don't like their soil to dry out completely between waterings.
